Local author Billy 'Scratch' Hitchen will be at Dartmouth library on Tuesday March 26 talking about his exciting life - as a boy from Salcombe who ran away to sea aged just 14. He travelled the world before returning home to become a fisherman.

For Winnie-the-Pooh fans

We stock modern copies of the famous Winnie-the-Pooh books by AA Milne, illustrated by EH Shepard, and celebrate Dartmouth's connections to his son, Christopher Robin Milne who ran the Harbour Bookshop in Dartmouth for 20 years from the 1950s.

Come and see our books and Pooh postcards and prints, and talk to our manager, Andrea, who remembers Christopher at the Harbour bookshop.

We also have many interesting books maps and guides for visitors to help them make the most of our lovely historic  town.

Our children's corner and Pooh in the shop.
